The Trocaire Honors Program offers students an enriched intellectual collegiate experience, both in and out of the classroom. Honors students enjoy challenging course work, an engaging community of like-minded peers, and opportunities to enhance leadership and professional skills.
Benefits: Additional merit-based scholarship Enhanced learning opportunities Priority registration for classes Access to honors lounge (designated study space) Recognition at commencement and on your official transcript Academic Requirements*: Complete a minimum of 12 credits per semester Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 Register for Honors designated courses Attend minimum required meetings as well as social and service events Complete required hours for peer tutoring program
*If you fail to meet the academic requirements, you will be put on probation for a semester. During a probation semester, you will continue attending meetings, completing honors classes and participating in events. If following your probation semester, you fail to meet the requirements, your membership in the program will be terminated.

Dean’s List |

Every semester full time (12 or more credits) and part-time matriculated students (6 – 11 credits) who earn a minimum 3.5 GPA with all grades “C” or above, merit a place on the Dean’s List, which is published at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters. |
Graduation Honors |

Students who meet the following minimum criteria will receive graduation honors which are awarded on the basis of the cumulative grade point average (CGPA). |
Certificate with merit: 3.40 – 4.0 CGPA Degree with distinction: 3.40 – 3.59 CGPA Degree with high distinction: 3.60 - 3.99 CGPA Degree with highest distinction: 4.0 CGPA |
