Catalog Disclaimer
The 2025-26 College catalog and the policies and procedures are in effect for the fall 2025, spring 2026 and summer 2026 semesters.
The student should be aware that some information in the catalog may change. It is recommended that students considering enrollment check with the Registrar's Office to determine if there is any change from the information provided in the catalog. In addition, a catalog will contain information on the College's teaching personnel and courses/curricula offered. Please be advised that the State Education Department separately licenses all teaching personnel and independently approves all courses and curricula offered. Therefore, it is possible that courses/curricula listed in the College catalog may not be approved at the time that a student enrolls in the College or the teaching personnel listed in the catalog may have changed. It is again recommended that the student check with the Registrar's Office to determine if there are any changes in the courses/curricula offered or the teaching personnel listed in the catalog.
Definitions
Catalog Term: The catalog term, also known as the catalog year, is the academic year used to determine the requirements for a student's field of study.
Catalog Year: The catalog year is based on the date a student registers for courses in their major. Students are bound by the requirements in the catalog in effect when they first enroll in a program. The annual College catalog and the policies and procedures are in effect for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. If curricular changes are implemented for the spring semester, the catalog term would become the spring semester. Such changes would be published in the catalog addendum.
Program Change: The catalog term for the program change dictates which set of degree requirements and course descriptions are applicable.
Catalog Year Changes: Students must fulfill graduation requirements outlined in the catalog at the time of matriculation or when the student began. Students who interrupt their attendance for more than two consecutive semesters (excluding the summer term except when the program requires summer course registration) will be required to follow the catalog in place at the time of readmission.
Continuous Enrollment: Registration in at least 1 course at census during each semester of the academic year until the degree is attained unless an official Leave of Absence has been awarded.
Students taking MAP only are still considered continuously enrolled
Students who drop all courses are not considered continuously enrolled
Students who withdrawal from 100% of courses AFTER census are considered continuously enrolled
Readmission: Students who have not been enrolled at Trocaire College for two or more semesters (excluding summer) or have attended another college must reapply for admission to the college. Upon return, the readmitted students are required to fulfill degree and program graduation requirements in place at the time of their readmission.
Residency Requirements: Students must meet the Academic Residency Requirement by completing a minimum of 25% of the coursework at Trocaire College for the program in which the credential is being earned.
Students enrolled in programs offered at the Trocaire Achievement Complex are required to take at least one residency course at the main campus.
